Well- one of the hardest things to do is explain who you are, is my name enough? Where does it end? – I’ll start at birth, I was born on July 4 th 1990, also known as American independence day, and for those of you who can stretch your memory back that far, Germany played England on that day [World Cup 1990 – Semi finals]. Apart from that, I’ve just completed my Gap year and intend on going to Warwick University in September 2009 iA. To sum it up in five words, my name is Husayn Mawji.

2. Where and when were you born?

I was born in London, on the 4 th of July 1990.

3. What are you doing at the moment?

I’m currently on a gap year, and have a received an offer from Warwick University to study Engineering.

4. What inspired you to write?

It all began whilst in Africa in March 2009, whilst sitting by the football pitch watching the street children play, I began to write about my observations, one page, two pages, three pages went by, and I then realised maybe my writing could get somewhere and make a difference.

5. What AS/A Levels did you do and where did you do them?

I did my A-levels at Rickmansworth School, and finished in 2008. I began my AS year doing Physics, Maths, Economics and Business Studies; it was in my second year where I decided to drop physics; for most people the reason for that is self-explanatory.
