1. Who are you? Who am I? The 3 words that appear so simple, yet so mind-boggling! For starters, my name’s Hassan Mawji. 2. Where and when were you born? I was born in London on the 4 th of July 20 years ago. (1990) 3. What are you doing at the moment? I’m currently in my second year of University, reading PPE (sounds like a mouthful when I say the whole name, but it stands for ‘Politics, Philosophy and Economics’) at the University of Manchester. It’s brilliant to hear the other words that go with the abbreviation which are completely irrelevant! 4. What inspired you to write? Once upon a time in sunny England.... Who am I kidding. I find writing to be the most powerful tool, if used correctly. Once you’re writing, you’ve dived into a sea of no ends. The possibilities are infinite. You can change minds, you can change worlds, all with a single pen. You can express yourself fully, and conquer every element of your subject. Sometimes, when I write, I unleash a side of me that I wasn’t even aware existed prior to that instant! It’s surreal! Over a year ago, I spent some time analysing and reflecting my time, and I wrote quite passionately about the subject. It was at that point I realised, my writing should become a continuous practice. (Sorry, but I had to include the fairy tale bit.) 5. What AS/A Levels did you do and where did you do them? I did my A-levels at Rickmansworth School, and finished in summer 2008. I took Maths, Chemistry and Economics and an AS in Physics.
