Guantanamo Bay
Changing the colour of the President,
Doesn’t stop civilians fearing their lives in bombarded residence.
Like history’s habit of repeating itself,
They don’t learn from their precedent.
Deserted are the deserts Godwillingly,
But in warfare it is families,
Man abnormality,
No tranquillity.
Where corruption succeeds,
Governments fail,
Statutory manipulation entails.
Society sleeping it’s sleeping beauty,
Wake up and realise the truth is ugly.
So before you fight the enemy,
Think, first i need to fight the inner me.
Not by controversial foreign policy.
Theoretical impartial judiciary,
Scapegoating your identity,
I only see ‘no trial by jury’.
Shut down gitmo,
No more incognito.
Tainted Human Rights Act,
Evading its purpose as a protection pact.
Guilty until proven innocent,
Liberties under attack.
Imprison you physically never mentally,
The mind is free like hope no boundary.
Only fear the most high All Mighty.
Implementing Justice, just this.
Equality in democracy,
prosperity in economy,
Educating the ignorant intellectually,
who know no better maybe spiritually.
Power of a vote may stop a written death note,
Of a man who thought he had no hope.
No sign of light beyond his world,
support he needs to endure and cope,
His silence may be indefinite,
But for hope he is compassionate,
And so should you be,
Because the effect of his freedom,
Is better than his martyrdom.
He whispers, “I just want freedom.”
