As life runs its course..

PatienceIt’s at those times of the day, when you feel the whole world is against you; that the whole world is thinking about your problems, and some perhaps feeling sorry for you. It is also at those times, where annoyance and irritability strikes, then you hear the one person in the crowd coming up to you and asking what’s wrong…and that patience is the cure to all those problems.

It’s true. It is.

Think about it, by being patient you’re delaying the thought for a later time, that way hopefully all the issues are resolved to some degree, and you’re not worried anymore. If you consider your last stressful day, at work, school, university, or any place which has stress related material. Now think about your reaction, depending on your character you either dealt with it by methods of anger, or you just stressed about it even more. Regardless of your response, it is those times when you wish you could go back in time to the days when life used to be so much simpler, where there were no strings attached to each and every aspect of your life…where life could take its own course without any maintenance.

Most readers are still wondering why patience has anything to do with their life, and some may even brush it away at this point. Which is fine, albeit the impatient thing to do.

If you think about the decisions made around you, for instance your upbringing, think about how much patience every piece of authority had with you, from the days you would get home late, to the days you wouldn’t turn up to school, even to the days when you had a plain bad day. The result of that is who you are today, and this inevitably has affected your traits as one always learns from their upbringing. Now consider the opposite happening, you were grounded each time you were home a minute late, expelled from school the first time you didn’t turn up, and brushed away when you complain about your bad day…now as much as some readers still feel this has nothing to do with patience…wait.

Life is full of tests, and if it wasn’t we would live a very dull life, where everything always goes according to our plans, our objectives are always met, we have no worries in life, and the list goes on. It’s our response to this test which changes every factor of life, from our response to our desk having been reorganised by someone else, to our response to having heard something outrageous spoken about you. (the latter one is very common in today’s society, with false myths and rumours at an all time high, most people have some worry in their mind, about their next action, perhaps about their degradation of self esteem. And the worries continue. Why can’t one just take life as it comes, react to it in the most honourable of manners, and resolve it in the most patient of manners…

I’d like to answer what it takes to be patient, mostly it just takes a second worth of thought before reacting, and that second will change it all…
